Evolve’s Sam Sullivan invited speaker at co-op celebration

Guelph Collegiate Vocational Insutitute co-op student Sam Sullivan described his experience at green building firm, Evolve Builders Group Inc, to hundreds of employers and peers at a celebratory breakfast meeting January 7, 2015. Sam was asked to accept the honoured role of making this presentation based on his exceptional class work and moreover, the important contributions that his efforts have generated for both Evolve as his co-op employer and for himself in terms of confirming interest in such work as a continued career path.

Sam described that his time with Evolve to date has included office work where he is responsible for developing and managing complex contact lists for use in media releases, targetted follow ups to specifiers and in particular, cold call contacts of school trustees and administrators specific to the prospective sale of Evolve’s mobEE eco-portables. On-site Sam noted that he has gained exposure to a broad range of activities and put his hands directly to tasks including foundation forming, framing, and hydronic radiant floor installations among other items.

Sam concluded saying that he is extremely excited to have learned through this co-op placement that there are companies that share his personal values and that he can now happily imagine for himself a career that will feed his desire for continued learning and problem solving.

We wish Sam luck with his impending move to college to pursue this further. And we at Evolve thank him for his valued and careful work. Congratulations on your well received presentation Sam – another job well done!
