Celebrated architect Douglas Cardinal speaking in Waterloo

Evolve Builders Group proudly sponsoring one of Canada’s premier architects at public event

Douglas Cardinal, celebrated architect of such wonders as the Canadian Museum of History, in Gatineau, Quebec, and the National Museum of the American Indian, in Washington, D.C., is visiting Kitchener Tuesday, April 7, 6:30PM to share his views about organic, dynamic architecture –  design based on harmony between humanity and the planet.

Born of Métis and Blackfoot background in Calgary, Cardinal studied at the University of British Columbia and University of Texas. He lives and practices in Ottawa.

From a recent interview with The Robert Reid of The Record, Cardinal said his buildings “evolve from the needs of the people who use them.” Buildings are not inanimate objects, but “living forms” like plants — “cells within living organisms.” We couldn’t agree more.

Evolve is proud to sponsor this public event, by RSVP in support of organizer Grand Valley Association of Architects. See details below. Hope to see you there!
